Located in Dusit, to the north of Bangkok, Wat Benchamabophit is a fine example of more recent Thai architecture. Constructed from white Carara Italian marble with a three-tiered, perfectly symmetrical roof, the temple is a beautiful sight from near and afar. The grounds also feature a “Sala Nam” (water pavilion) and, separating the monks’ and people areas, are several ornate bridges in a variety of styles. The intricate Thai craftsmanship and the temple’s deep sense of calmness make this a special place to visit.
